Friday Favorites #22
Hey there! Happy Friday! We do not have any set plans this weekend but hopefully some fun in the sun! The one nice thing about living in a camper is there is no lawn to mow or major house projects looming over us. We can just be on the weekends. This summer (and year) continue to just fly on by and we’re trying to make the most if it. If we do anything worth blogging about, I will post a weekend recap on Monday:)
For now, keep scrolling for my weekly Friday Favorites! Have a wonderful weekend!
Lost Lake by Sarah Addison Allen
Earlier this year I read Other Birds by Sarah Addison Allen and mentioned her books feel like a warm cup of tea. She sprinkles magic in heartwarming stories of family, love, and finding yourself. Like her other books, this one put a smile on my face, and I grew a soft spot for all the characters. The lovely lake setting makes it a perfect summer read. It has emotion and tragedy but doesn’t read too heavy, more like a Hallmark movie. It also embodies the quirky magic Sarah Addison Allen is known for (a talking alligator for example) but she writes it in a way that is believable and charming. She will continue to be a favorite author of mine!
IN COMMON Magic Hair Myst
Speaking of magic, my next favorite is just that for your hair! Unfortunately, it tends to sell out and I think it’s out of stock right now, but I really love this hair product. I use it after washing my hair as a detangler and leave in conditioner. It makes my hair so soft and doesn’t weigh it down (I have pretty fine hair). I also spray a little on my dry ends as needed in between washes. The reviews are hit and miss on the smell, but I like it! It also works as a heat/sun protectant which is an added bonus. It’s a little on the pricey side but a little goes a long way and I think this bottle will last for months!
Blueberry Picking at Bulldog Berries
I posted about our blueberry picking outing on Tuesday if you would like to read in detail. It was definitely one of my favorite things this week! I love making special summer memories with my boys.
Wayfair Rugs for Camper
I love our new camper, but it was in need of some color and cozy texture. I ordered two rugs from the Wayfair website, fingers crossed they would look good in person. Well, they do! The first is a floral runner rug for the living space of our camper. I am obsessed with the colors and pattern. I found a couple throw pillows from Target that match perfectly. I also ordered an area rug for the boys’ bunkhouse. It does seem to be shedding a little but hopefully it’ll be okay because it’s so cute! The boys love it! I heard repeatedly that this week, “I love our camper” and one time was when Owen was sitting on the new bear rug playing with his toys:)
Lakeview Hill Farm & Market
Last fall, this property went up for sale and Ryan and I joked about putting an offer on it. It has an old schoolhouse which is a unique feature. It sold quickly and we assumed it would be turned into an Airbnb. We were pleasantly surprised when we heard it was opening as a little market! It’s only three minutes from our cottage so we can ride our bikes there which is cool. After blueberry picking the other day, I decided to check it out with the boys. It was so cute! All the products are local from produce, to cheese, to soap and more. It’s basically an indoor farmer’s market. I bought a fresh bouquet of flowers and some peaches. I don’t know if I would take the boys in again (they have to touch everything ha-ha) but I’ll be back for sure!
Always so fun to read about everything, we all can’t wait to experience it next week with you guys!!!!!
