Friday Favorites #56 (a day late)

Annie March 8, 2025 Comments1

Hey there! I hope you enjoyed a wonderful first week of March. My week was busy with quite a few appointments and places to be, so it went by rather quickly. One of those was hair day which I only do four times a year so love when that day pops up during my week.

The boys also had a snow day which I was not expecting given the warmer temps we’ve been having. That’s Michigan for you! It was actually one of my favorites this week:)

Owen also lost his first tooth this week! It was hanging by a thread for a few days, and he finally just pulled it out himself ha-ha. He was very excited about it, especially getting a visit from the tooth fairy. It is the most bittersweet milestone, a sure sign that our little ones aren’t so little anymore. I think it definitely hits harder with your youngest too.

Keep on scrolling to read about a few more of my favorite things this week. Thanks for stopping by!

Weekend with Grandpa

If you read my last post, you know that we had a very fun filled weekend with grandpa. The boys LOVE his company, and we made some special memories. I’ve said many times that we are very blessed with amazing grandparents on both sides and don’t ever take them for granted!

Decorating for Spring

This week I packed away my winter decorations and started pulling out some spring vibes! I haven’t gotten to my Easter bins yet (I did snag that bunny at TJMaxx), but all the florals and color are making me smile. I know winter is still making an appearance outside, but I am keeping it spring inside:)

Ash Wednesday

As a Catholic, Ash Wednesday is a pretty important day in the church. It marks the beginning of Lent, the forty-day season of prayer, fasting, and almsgiving. The ashes on our foreheads represent that we belong to Christ and are ready to begin our spiritual journey of interior penance.

The boys are continuing to learn and grow in their faith, and I pray they become closer to Jesus this Lent. Drew and Lucas are actually making both their Confirmation and First Communion in a few months. We are taking classes, reading the Bible, and praying often to prepare for that important day.

Snow Day!

The boys got an unexpected snow day on Thursday. I always enjoy a snow day myself and it was fun just hanging out all day not having anywhere to go. They really wanted to build a leprechaun trap and decided to make one out of Legos. There was also lots of face painting, we played some games, watched a movie, and took a walk at Veronica Valley. It was good day!

New Floors Installed

We have an area in our house that has been under renovation for a long time. This week we had the new flooring installed and now we can really see the light at the end of the tunnel! This will give our family a lot more space and we are excited about it all coming together.
